Meanwhile, mix remaining ingredients in a medium saucepan, mix thoroughly. Bring to a boil. Reduce fire, simmer simmer for 30 minutes. Brush sauce over ribs. Broil 5 inches from heat for 7-10 minutes on each side. Serve ribs with extra sauce.

Is it safe?
I have steak in the refrigerator that has been marinated since this morning. When I throw the steaks on the grill marinade thickened with cornstarch. Boil it for about 3 or 4 minutes. Can I use the sauce to baste the fillets. Anyway, I always end up with a ton of sauce remaining, then discard them.
