Newport Pig Cookin 'Contest – KCBS BBQ Great American Tour
The first stage of the League of Kansas City BBQ Great American BBQ Tour has been announced and the Newport Pig Cookin 'Contest is the first stops of more than two dozen around the country in which the heads of the four corners the state will compete for cash prizes.

KCBS recently announced the schedule for calendar 2010 "> KCBS Tour 2010 Great American BBQ.
At many stops for this event through the country, BBQ Mike and Chris Peters will make presentations that they will share their knowledge and love of their food, as well as providing advice and samples grilling food for participants.
The presentations also include a feature where two of the hearing will be selected to participate in a Master Grill kitchen, where they will cook the chicken with a selection of events sponsors seasonings, including KC Masterpiece dressings and or charcoal Weber Kingsford.
Kitchen officers of the tour, Good-One Smoker / Grills and GrillGrates Official Tour grilling accessories, participants are judged by the public KCBS standards of appearance, flavor and texture.
Available during the two-day event, there will be concession stands, rides for children and adults, arts and crafts, bake sale, cake funnel, memories, and a large amount of music to enjoy.
Admission to the competition Newport Pig Cookin 'is free, and barbecue plates $ 6 run lead with the first payment to 11, and pork in bulk, when available, will be sold at a price $ 6 a pound, although the stocks may be exceeded by the demand of the audience.
The year 2010 marks the 32nd annual contest in Newport Pig Cookin 'and should be held on 9 April to October Newport Community Park where more than 80 BBQ'ers cooking pork and better compete in all prices money.
