El Mirador: Oaxaca Restaurant Review
Since 1978, El Mirador has been directed almost exclusively to the people of Oaxaca, without the aid U.S. $ tourism. We must do something good! There is a cliff overlooking the outside of the city below and surrounding mountains, and a few miles across the Guelaguetza Auditorium. Perhaps the most important is the consistency of their food (as I have been eating there for ten years.)
Down the stairs to the parking lot to enter the main level with a decor mixed casual rustic pine tables and chairs inside, and Coca-Cola PVC chairs, tables covered with linen in the courtyard. There is juke-box, glass box full of stuffed animals that children can buy to impress your ladies and colorful flags cuts tissue. The ground floor has a modern style club with high picture windows in the roof to ensure equality exquisite length of the bar for the band raised and a large TV screen. Here in the evening you can enjoy the sounds of a guitar Troubadour scratches and Thursday through Saturday, salsa and cumbia dance to the beat of a local band. Depending on the time and day, customers are composed of friends to an afternoon ladies and gentlemen, young lovers, party celebrants, and invariable during the Guelaguetza dance groups throughout the state. Thursday evenings in June because when we left at 23:00 the two levels were 75% of its capacity.
The service is reliable with a good complement of servers is amazing. Drinks from a varied menu coming soon. If you have not tried a Michelada, the beer mixed with a spicy chili or a mixture of lime, that experience here. Salads and soups are staples invoked to start, but First, stick to the salad or as the "head" is mostly meat and cheese on a mound of the iceberg. daughter shrimp soup has been my light, tasty tomato, which contains a good count of fresh shrimp. For a snack I would avoid cheese and cold meat dish, unless you're a fan of head cheese. However, both the Oaxaca and they Mirador Snack are delicious, warm with samples of traditional meat and extra snacks in the case of the latter. If you're out for a light meal skip to consider input from parties are healthy. However, I went to the plate of skewered meat (son) … Tender Beef tomato, yellow pepper and onion on a bed of rice, a bag of chips with a mixture of steamed vegetables allowed.
The tlayudas and guards are strongly recommended. Tlayudas are oversized tortillas. Served with a crispy layer head light needed and refried beans, then covered with lettuce and two traditional Oaxacan cheese. Try the command with your choice of meat (Dried beef), seasoned pork Chile (dried meat) or sausage (chorizo). The tlayudas El Mirador are among the best I've had. The Grill: a grid-type hibachi arrives at your table, coal is still burning in order to fill the grid with a wide range of meats and vegetables, including onions and cactus with Oaxaca cheese hot. It is accompanied tortillas, guacamole, salsa, a bean dish of fresh sausages and known as charros. If you opt for this meal, take it easy on the case, perhaps with meat toppings not only a start.
El Mirador offers casual, moderately priced Dining … or a chance to get a cappuccino or drinks with snacks. Downstairs is a set of 25 pesos when the band plays theater.
