charcoal grill can soak in lighter gel?

I want to soak the carbon and store it for when I need it, would it still work well in a UAA months?

I do not recommend it. Most fuel is drained and you have some to try. If kept in an airtight container, you have a potential bomb. I stopped for fuel for many years and was a coal fire.
