I have friends on July 14, and I'm not sure what I should do. My first thought was that Bastille Day would get a good meal with a green salad for the first year, Hunter Chicken (chicken with white wine and tomato sauce) and white and wild rice pilaf for the main course and then lime pie (not French, I know, but I like key lime pie) with berry sorbet for those watching their weight. The other option is a more informal meal, with beef, chicken BBQ jerk chicken skewers with sesame seeds, and then you know, like the side salad Asian slaw and potato salad with apple and bacon, to be Key lime pie and berry sorbet for dessert. Anyway, what do you would be better?
I choose easy dinner that is prepared in advance. This way you'll have more time with your guests and less stress. The more you can prepare in advance, the better. Good luck!
